Our Approach
A society for Oxford's publishing professionals
OPuS (Oxford Publishing Society) was founded in 1997 to bring together the whole publishing community in the Oxford area.
We aim to provide a forum to inform, educate and provide networking opportunities for the full spectrum of publishing professionals in Oxfordshire.
We organise around 6 events a year on a wide variety of publishing topics - recent events include 'Letting Books Be books: breaking gender barriers in Children’s Publishing', 'Securing trust and reliability in scholarly publishing' and 'Brexit Means Brexit - but what does that mean for publishers?' We also host an annual author event - past speakers include Mark Haddon, Sarah Franklin, Clover Stroud, Louise Doughty, Michael Frayn, and Pam Ayres. Check our Events page for information on upcoming and past events.
